What a fantastic evening at our Blue & Gold Banquet with Pack 163, Boonville! 💙🐾
We kicked off the night with a beautiful opening flag ceremony led by our Color Guard, followed by a delicious fried chicken dinner and an incredible spread of potluck sides. Our Pack families sure know how to come together! We wrapped up the meal with cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday to Scouting as we celebrated another amazing year.
The highlight of the evening was our advancement ceremony. Our Cubmaster shared a meaningful story about Akela and the journey each Scout takes through the ranks. Each Scout received face paint representing both their current rank and the rank they were advancing to. As they crossed the bridge, they removed their neckerchief and were presented with their new rank neckerchief — a special tradition symbolizing growth, perseverance, and achievement.
We proudly celebrated Scouts advancing across multiple ranks, including:
🦁 Lion
🐯 Tiger
🐺 Wolf
🐻 Bear
🌲 Webelos
🏹 Arrow of Light
In addition to rank advancements, many Scouts were recognized for earning adventure belt loops and pins throughout the year. Several Scouts also earned walking sticks for completing 12 hiking miles — an incredible accomplishment that shows dedication and perseverance.
Special recognitions included Conservation Good Turn patches for service projects such as planting trees and Woods of Webelos participation patches.
We closed the evening with a final flag ceremony, reflecting on how much our Scouts have grown this year — not just in rank, but in leadership, character, and confidence.
Thank you to our leaders, volunteers, and families who make Pack 163 such a strong and supportive community. We are so proud of every Scout and can’t wait to see what next year brings! 💙
