Happy National First Responder Day!

Today we take a moment to thank all of our incredible First Responders from our dispatchers, law enforcement officers, EMS crews, firefighters, volunteer firefighters, and coroners for the dedication, compassion, and professionalism you bring to every call.

In 2020, Indiana officially recognized coroners as First Responders, and while we’re often jokingly called the “Last Responder,” we stand proudly beside our colleagues who serve on the front lines every day.

Thank you First Responders for the long hours, the sacrifices, and the unwavering commitment to keeping our communities safe.

County-Wide Burn Ban Extended For Another 7 days.
COUNTY-WIDE BURN BAN - The Warrick County Board of Commissioners, in order to prevent unreasonable fire hazards during unusually dry weather periods, and pursuant to the Warrick County Board of Commissioners' Ordinance No. 2008-10, Open Burning Ordinance, hereby declares an Open Fire Emergency. This Open Fire Emergency shall be in force until such time as revoked by the Board of Commissioners. This Open Fire Emergency is in effect for all unincorporated areas of Warrick County, 24 hours per day, for 7 days.

During National Fire Prevention Week, we have always used it as an opportunity to celebrate, thank, and honor our firefighters by providing them meals throughout the week, gift bags, and new uniform pieces. The ladies of the auxiliary are asking for help from our community that our men protect every single day!

Today we are launching our "Adopt a Firefighter" campaign to fundraise for appreciation gift bags, gift cards, and uniform pieces for each of the firefighters. Below are some ways that YOU can help contribute and make this the best week of the year! 🎉

HOW TO HELP
•Adopt a Firefighter - $30
•Coordinate a meal or snack drop off

BUSINESSES
•Donate gift cards, coupons, etc. for each firefighter
•Restaurants, donate a meal or dessert for one of the crews on shift
