Don't be fooled into thinking Childhood Cancer is rare. What is REALLY RARE is adequate research to improve outcomes specifically for childhood cancer. We have 7 adult chemo's to treat cancer. We need to find other therapies to reduce the need for chemo which has toxic and long term side effects. So far, we have only developed 7 drugs specifically for cancers that affect children. We CAN do better! Support good legislation to help increase research for kids' cancers: https://4sqclobberscancer.com/on-capital-hill/

The average age of a cancer diagnosis for a child is 6 years old. When only 4 out of every five children survive cancer 5 years or more, can you imagine how it feels as a child or as their parent to see them celebrate significant milestone birthdays like their sweet 16 or their 21st birthday? The average life expectancy of a childhood cancer survivor is only 57 which is 21 years less than the average adult who never had childhood cancer. We can do better, but we need to invest more in cancer research that affects our children, adolescents and young adults. We need to find non toxic, curative alternatives to chemotherapy. https://4sqclobberscancer.com/on-capital-hill/

πŸ’› We want to share something important β€” and we promise we'll keep it real.

1 in 285 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer before age 20.

That's not a rare disease. That's someone in nearly every classroom, every neighborhood, every extended family.

And yet, childhood cancer receives a fraction of the federal research funding that adult cancers do. Many of the treatments kids receive today were designed for adults first β€” which means children often endure therapies that weren't built for them, with side effects that can follow them for life.

The research JGCF funds is specifically designed for pediatric cancer β€” understanding it at a molecular level, building targeted treatments, and pursuing breakthroughs that could transform a childhood cancer diagnosis from devastating to survivable.

Your $25 donation to Cart For A Cure isn't just a sweepstakes entry. It's a direct investment in that research. It puts the right scientists in the right labs, working on the right problems β€” for kids who need answers now.

That's worth $25. Honestly, it's worth a lot more.

Did you know? There are many different types of childhood cancer, some more common than others.

Lymphomas start in immune system cells called lymphocytes. These cancers most often start in lymph nodes or in other lymph tissues, like the tonsils or thymus. They can also affect the bone marrow and other organs.

Symptoms depend on where the cancer starts and can include weight loss, fever, sweats, tiredness (fatigue), and lumps (swollen lymph nodes) under the skin in the neck, armpit, or groin.

Unfortunately, 47 kids here in the USA are diagnosed with cancer every day, not only on a Friday 13th. It's not "Rare," but it still doesn't get the attention it needs since it is the number one disease killer of our children. Worldwide, 1,095 per day are diagnosed daily with .
