Fire Hydrant Flushing will start Monday, May 4th. As a result of the flushing procedures, Boonville City Utilities customers may experience lower than normal water pressure or notice some discoloration in drinking water. Any discoloration should only last a short period of time and can be alleviated by allowing taps to run for 15 or 20 seconds prior to using water. Customers should pay close attention to any water discoloration prior to doing laundry. The water will continue to meet all federal water quality standards. Hydrant flushing is a normal maintenance procedure and results in improved performance of the drinking water distribution system.
