A message from our Board of Directors:

The board of the Harvest House decided to close the shelter on 10-1-22 due to financial constraints. The board is working diligently to maintain the shelter, its ministry and its reputation in the community. We are exploring all possible options to reopen at some future date to be determined by the board of directors. Currently we are not accepting donations of money, food or other items but welcome prayers as we move forward.

It is with great appreciation that we at the Harvest House homeless shelter thank the Alliant Bank of Boonville for their generous donation. This donation will go a long way in helping those who need a hand up this year.

The Harvest House Transitional Housing Duplex has needed a new roof for sometime now. We were finally able to do the work needed, new shingles. Thank you Moses Shetler of Sbetler’s Home Improvement for a job well done at a fair price. The Harvest House is a Christian-based homeless shelter looking for a full-time live-in shelter manager or managing couple. The House manager(s) directs all aspects of the daily activities of the Harvest House Shelter ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Including but not limited to receiving & interviewing new residents, planning/preparing meals, supervising house residents in daily activities, shopping, creating and keeping daily reports, and other duties as needed. An applicant with basic home maintenance skills would be a big plus. Room and board are provided along with a salary and additional benefits may be provided depending on the applicant.

We really appreciate the support we have received from the Caesars Foundation and Isle of Capri Boonville. Thank you to those that made this donation to the Harvest House possible!

Caesars Foundation donated $1,250 to Harvest House Inc., a regional shelter for men, women, and families who find themselves homeless. Whether you are struggling to get back on your feet or even if you just need a place to stay because you are traveling and your car breaks down, they are open 365 days a year to serve those in need! The Isle of Capri Casino Hotel Boonville executives are happy to present this check and are looking forward to an ongoing partnership.

This past Sunday, members of the Harvest House Board were presented with a $500 donation by 10 year old Nina. Nina and her family thought over ways they could set aside money little by little to make a larger impact in the community. Nina chose the Harvest House as the recipient of her donation because it had directly impacted a close friend of hers. Her friend shared with her how the Harvest House housed her family and assisted her parents in finding jobs when times were tough until they could get back on their feet. With her friend in mind, Nina chose the Harvest House to receive her donation.
