Hi! I’m Kofta, an 9-month-old Doberman pup with long legs, big ears, & even bigger puppy energy. The good news? I’m a very good boy - I’m crate trained, house trained, & I already know some basic commands. I’m also working on my leash manners because sometimes I get so excited about the world that I forget I’m supposed to walk politely instead of like I’m leading a parade. I’d love a furever family who will: keep me learning, play with me, & laugh at my goofy puppy shenanigans. In return, I promise: loyalty, friendship, fun & lots of Dobie charm. Pick me! 💞 Love takes flight! ✈️ KAREN ADOPTED! 💞
Karen found herself in a high kill shelter in Texas, not once, but twice. First in 2020 when she was 5. And then again in 2026 at the age of 11. 😢 Thanks to NorthStar volunteers Shannon & Chris, we were able to rescue her & she will never to return to a shelter again! 🙌🏻 Karen was in need of a dental & a hernia repair so we took care of that at our vet & she spent the past 5 weeks between their 2 homes while recovering. Where she was also spoiled with so much love! 🥰 Our NJ volunteers Cathy & Jack stepped up to adopt Karen. To get this little sweetie to NJ was Karen’s next adventure. In steps our volunteer Laura. Laura is a flight attendant, she was flying back home from TX ✈️ & was able to bring Karen along with her on the flight back to NJ! 🙂 Karen arrived safely to Newark airport on Thursday & there to meet her - her new furever dad Jack! 😍 Karen is now home sweet home 🏠 where we know she will live happily ever after! Congratulations Cathy & Jack! 🥳

✨ Our shooting star 💫 R***R ADOPTED! ✨
Back in January, we were contacted by the San Marcos Texas shelter, one of our rescue partners, about an urgent German Shepherd they had recently taken in. Although we’ll never know exactly what happened to R***r, his injuries were consistent with being struck by a car. In severe pain & barely able to stand or walk, his condition was serious. Yet even through all the pain, his spirit shone through & he touched the hearts of all the shelter workers. We welcomed R***r into our NorthStar pack & he had orthopedic surgery in Texas while under the loving care of foster mom Shannon. Thank you to everyone who donated to his care! Once he was well enough, he traveled to NJ to continue his recovery. R***r settled in with our board member & vet tech Juli. After some TLC there, R***r moved to our GSD fosters MB & Lou to continue his physical rehabilitation. R***r was such a good boy at PT, & with his fosters too, even letting them work with him at home. He kicked butt at PT & his hard work shows! His neck is much better, & he is gaining strength in his hind end. On March 28th, R***r went to the local coffee shop for his first pup cup! Even better then that, he had a meet and greet while there &…it was a match - he found his furever family! His new pawrents are experienced with Shepherds & even better, with special needs Shepherds. R***r stayed in foster until his last Orthopedic check up on 4/7, then on 4/8 he headed home sweet furever home! 🎉

Thanks to some top notch volunteer power, this sweet little 11 year-old gal is home sweet furever home for National Pet Day today! 🤩 Thanks to NorthStar’s Shannon & Chris, we were able to rescue her from a kill shelter. 💞 Karen has spent the past 5 weeks between their 2 homes in TX while getting the medical care she needed to ready her for adoption. She was also getting all the love! 🥰 Even better news, our NJ volunteers Cathy & Jack stepped up to adopt Karen. Now to get her to NJ - in steps our volunteer Laura. Laura is a flight attendant, ✈️ she was going to be flying back home from TX & was able to bring Karen along with her on the flight back to NJ! 🙂 Karen arrived safely to Newark airport on Thursday & there to meet her - her new furever dad Jack! 😍 Stay tuned for the official adoption post with both her furever parents Cathy & Jack! 🥳

Whether they’re working, relaxing, or moving around the house, she’ll be right there with them—tail wagging and heart full. Family Time 🤗 HUEY ADOPTED! 🎉🎉🎉
One week after her beloved dog headed over the rainbow bridge, Judy found the strength to open her heart and home to sweet Huey, a puppy in need of a fresh start. Huey remained under the TLC of his fab foster mom Judy for 4 months. Now ready for home of his own, Huey made his was to NJ to meet his new furever family. Thank you to our friends at Mutts On Main for hosting their meet & greet because it was a total success! It’s been 3 weeks since Huey headed home with his family to live happily ever after! ✨Happy ‘tails’ Huey, we love you! 💗💗💗

Boochie is 7 years old, housebroken, crate trained & just a great dog!

Her superpowers include:
✨ Expert-level cuddling

What she needs?

A home where she can be your one & only. That’s her kryptonite — sharing her space with other dogs isn’t her thing, & that’s okay. None of us are perfect, right?

I’ve been waiting patiently (and very politely!) for someone special… could that be YOU? 💕

I may be 10 years old, but don’t let that fool you—I’ve got plenty of love left to give and a heart full of sweetness. I’m a tiny guy at just 12 pounds, basically the perfect lap-sized best friend 🐶💗

Here’s a little about me:
✨ I’m a Maltese mix with soft fluff and even softer feelings
✨ I’m gentle, calm, and super affectionate (snuggles are my specialty!)
✨ I’m looking for a quiet, loving home where I can relax and feel safe
✨ I really want a doggy sibling—I love having a buddy to hang with 🐕💕

I do have diabetes, which just means I need a little extra care… but I promise I am so worth it. I’ll give you unconditional love, cozy cuddles, and the sweetest companionship you could ever ask for 🥹
