The Guinness Dunn Foundation, Inc We dedicate ourselves to ensuring that no pet owner is forced to part ways with their beloved companion due to financial hardship or lack of resources.

The Guinness Dunn Foundation, founded in 2020, is a lasting memorial to our beloved dog, Guinness. We pledge to carry on his legacy of love, kindness and compassion. At the Guinness Dunn Foundation, we are driven by a heartfelt mission to uphold the sanctity of the human-animal bond, recognizing the invaluable companionship and support that pets provide to individuals and families. In pursuit of t

his vision, we dedicate ourselves to ensuring that no pet owner is forced to part ways with their beloved companion due to financial hardship or lack of resources. Through our compassionate pet care assistance programs, including the Pet Food Pantry, Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program, and our Mobility Cart Program, we extend a helping hand to those facing adversity. Our Pet Food Pantry endeavors to alleviate the burden of providing nutritious meals for pets by supplying essential food supplies, ensuring that families can prioritize their well-being without compromise. Additionally, our Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program aims to promote responsible pet ownership by offering affordable access to vital veterinary services, thereby preventing overpopulation and reducing the number of animals in shelters. By addressing the immediate needs of pet owners in crisis and fostering a culture of responsible pet care, we strive to create a community where every pet is cherished, every family is supported, and the bond between humans and animals is celebrated and preserved.

🐾♥️ ❄️ WINTER WEATHER ALERT

With temperatures dropping dangerously low, pets need our help. Frostbite & hypothermia can happen in minutes.
As the Winter Weather Advisory continues, we are seeing dangerously cold temperatures across our community.

We recommend these life-saving guidelines for your pets:
* Limit Exposure: Even "winter breeds" like Huskies can suffer from frostbite on their ears and paw pads. If your pet must go out, set a timer for 5 minutes.
* Wipe Paws: Road salt & chemical ice-melts are toxic & can cause chemical burns. Use a damp cloth to clean their paws every time they come inside.
* The Engine Check: Tap your car hood or honk your horn before starting your engine. Local strays often crawl near warm engines to survive the night.
* Don't Use Blankets Outside: If you have a stray/outdoor cat you are caring for, use straw in their shelter, not blankets. Blankets trap moisture & freeze, actually making the animal colder. In Ohio - you must have reliable shelter, food & water for your outside animals.
* If animals are kept outside - keep water bowls free of ice. Make sure food is available at all times.

Please don’t abandon animals. The Animal Shelter Society can possible assist with resources. Call us at (740) 452-1077 & ask for the Executive Director. 🐾♥️
