As we head toward the anniversary of the June 10, 1864 Battle of Brice’s Crossroads the BCF is excited to announce two additional unit monument markers were recently erected on the battlefield!

-Battery B, 2nd Illinois Light Artillery
-18th Mississippi Cavalry Battalion

We are very thankful for the generosity of the sponsoring donors that made these a reality. Please see the attached photos for listings of all the sponsors, but we would like to specifically recognize the gentlemen from Springfield, Illinois and the Mississippi Division SCV.

These granite markers will help orientate and inform visitors to the hallowed ground at Brice’s Crossroads.
