It's been another fulfilling week here at TNR SWVA! We are thrilled to announce that we have funded 554 surgeries this year and facilitated even more, surpassing last year's numbers! #⃣

Just this week, we helped with 22 spay/neuter surgeries, resulting in 22 more community cats living happier, healthier lives in their outdoor homes. TWENTY-TWO cats who will no longer contribute to the feline overpopulation here in Southwest Virginia. 🐈

The amount of work and commitment involved in TNR is absolutely incredible. We are so blessed to have such a dedicated group of volunteers, colony caretakers, donors and veterinary staff to come together and make our mission possible. YOU are making a difference! 😻

Look at those ear tips! We are always so happy to receive these updates from our caretakers! 😻

The last two weeks have been a whirlwind, but the chaos is so worthwhile! 47 community cats received medical care that will allow them to live happier, healthier lives.

Our patient with the urinary blockage ended up needing multiple surgeries. Oscar blocked again after his initial surgery and underwent a perineal urethrostomy. He is recovering well!

We are blessed to have such an amazing community standing behind us. Those who have donated toward Oscar's care, the volunteers who gave up a good chunk of their weekends trapping and transporting, and the veterinary professionals who care for these babies like they are their own - YOU are what keeps us going! These lives have been forever changed because someone cared.

We’ve been asked to help a sweet kitty with an emergency. He has struggled with a urinary blockage earlier this week and unfortunately , he has blocked once again and is going to require an extensive surgery to save his life. We really don’t want this family to have to euthanize due to limited finances. We want to help but we also can’t deplete all of our tnr funds.

Any donation will go directly towards his bill.

Thank you!

We've had another big week of trapping, transporting, prepping kitties for surgeries and monitoring them while recovering from anesthesia. In the last 2 weeks, we've facilitated 19 spay surgeries, 18 neuter surgeries and follow-up wound care treatment for a previous TNR patient. This means that THIRTY-EIGHT community cats are living happier, healthier lives; no longer contributing to the cat overpopulation here in Southwest Virginia.

We are so thankful for the support that we receive from our community. Without you, our lifesaving work simply would not be possible!
