🎄 EVERY TREE DESERVES SOMETHING UNDER IT. ❤️

Okay, Appalachia—we need you. Our Pre-Christmas Giving Drive is officially underway, and right now, the donation pile is looking a little too lonely. 😬

Force for Good Appalachia is creating a FREE Christmas Market where local parents and caregivers can come in and choose the gifts that are right for their families. No pre-selected boxes. No handouts. No shame. Just neighbors helping neighbors make Christmas happen—with joy, choice, and dignity.

We need new or gently used items in good condition for kids, teens, moms, dads, babies—everybody. Toys, books, LEGO, art supplies, bikes, sports equipment, winter gear, gift cards, teen gifts, small electronics, cozy home items, wrapping supplies… if you’d be happy to find it under your own tree, we’d love to have it. 🎁

And listen—you do NOT have to donate a mountain of things. One toy. One book. One gift card. One coat. It all adds up when a whole community decides to show up.

🎄 Every child. Every parent. Every tree.
❤️ Let’s fill those trees together.

Okay y’all… I think Force for Good Appalachia needs to do a thing. 🎄❤️

And yes, I realize it is AUGUST. 😂 But if Hobby Lobby can emotionally prepare us for Christmas six months early, so can I.

I keep thinking about how much STUFF we all have. Good stuff. Toys our kids barely touched. Bikes they outgrew. LEGOS. Books. Dolls. Coats. Art supplies. Electronics. Things sitting in closets that another kid would absolutely lose their mind over on Christmas morning.

So… what if we started collecting it now?

New OR gently used. The rule is simple:

❤️ If you would be happy to wrap it up and give it to someone you love, we’d be happy to receive it.

Then before Christmas, Force for Good Appalachia creates a FREE CHRISTMAS MARKET where local parents and caregivers can come in and actually choose gifts for their own families.

Choice. Dignity. Community.

And I don’t just mean little kids. TEENS. Moms. Dads. Grandparents. Because Christmas doesn’t magically stop mattering when you turn 13.

I want bikes. Books. LEGOS. Barbies. Sports equipment. Cozy things. Gift cards. Art supplies. Baby stuff. Teen stuff. Weird stuff your kid HAD TO HAVE and then forgot existed three weeks later. 😂

There are houses all over these mountains overflowing with perfectly good things, while other parents are already quietly wondering how in the hell they’re going to put something under the tree this year.

We can fix that.

No dates yet. No locations yet. We’re building this thing as we go.

But I want to know:

WHO’S IN? 🎄🙋🏼‍♀️❤️

Because every tree deserves something under it.

Let’s be a Force for Good. ❤️⛰️

Just a little reminder from Force for Good Appalachia 💚

Our Children’s Clothing Swap will be held Friday, June 6 from 11 AM–2 PM at the Masonic Lodge behind Goodwill in Boone, North Carolina.

I have officially collected all of the donations I’m able to collect ahead of time, but if you’d still like to participate, you are absolutely welcome to bring items to swap the day of the event!

We’re excited to gather together, help families, reduce waste, and keep building community in the High Country one kind gesture at a time. 🫶

We look forward to seeing everybody!

This one feels different 🤍

We’re in the final push for our Summer Grab & Go—and more than anything, this is about our community showing up for our kids.

The ones who sit in classrooms together, play on the same fields, grow up in these mountains we love. This is us making sure they head into summer feeling supported, included, and cared for—by all of us.

If you’ve been meaning to donate, this is your moment.
If you’ve already given—thank you. You’re part of something really good here.

We’re so close to the finish line. Let’s come together and finish strong.

Message me for drop-off details or porch pickup—we’ll make it easy.

Let’s show up, Appalachia. We always do. 🌄🤍

Force for Good Appalachia is rooted in a simple idea: neighbors showing up for neighbors. What started as a small effort to share resources has grown into a beautiful network of people who believe in community over charity—where giving and receiving happen with dignity, kindness, and connection.

Thank you so much for your patience while I’ve been collecting and organizing donations behind the scenes. And truly, thank you to all of the incredible people who have reached out wanting to give—your generosity is what keeps this going. It means more than you know.

Still collecting for our spring drive!!!
