What a great morning at Boone Sunrise Rotary! We heard from a group of impressive young high school students about their year of service as Interact members at Watauga High School. We also inducted new club member, Josh Gibbons with Life Store Bank.

Yesterday, 17 of our Boone Sunrise Rotary members worked together to clean up the south fork of the New River, its banks and surrounding area. We were also joined by 11 Rotaract members . Rotaract is a Rotary organization for young adults and our local chapter meets at Appalachian State University.

The group collected 8 bags of trash and members reported the most unusual item is a red faux leather chair which is logged in a tree downed by Hurricane Helene. The removal of the tree and chair will require additional help for removal.

Today Boone Sunrise Rotary is celebrating 40 years of serving our community!
