It's and we are sticking with our Pollinator Palooza theme! Do you ever let your homegrown veggies flower? You may want to consider it to attract pollinators to your garden! Can you guess what vegetable this flower belongs to? One random winner will be announced later in the week - we'll send you a custom Coastal Land Trust Freaker!

Another beautiful native tree. This plant supports pollinators and is a larval host plant for Eastern Swallowtails, Spicebush Swallowtail, and Viceroy. Hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and birds like cedar waxwings feed on the nectar from flowers. White-tailed deer, gray squirrels, and some songbirds eat the flowers in the spring. Sprouts, buds, and seeds are primary food for deer and squirrels.

A large deciduous tree native to eastern North America, with distinctive four-lobed leaves and tulip-like blossoms.

Tired of winter? Take a road trip to Wilmington and enjoy the camellias that are blooming now.

The Camellia japonicas are just beginning to blossom. Peak bloom ought to be in two weeks near the end of February. Come on out take a stroll and enjoy the fresh air and flowers.

Although we can't enjoy growing camellias here, I just can't get enough of these coastal beauties.
