High Country United Way will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and serves as a time to reflect on our shared history, honor freedom, and reaffirm our commitment to equity, opportunity, and community for all.

We will resume normal business hours on Monday, June 22.

Birthday shoutouts! 🎉🥳 High Country United Way would like to take this opportunity to express its appreciation and extend birthday greetings to two of our favorite people, Linda Holtkamp and Marty Button!

As a Disaster Case Manager with the Watauga Long Term Group, Marty Button provides invaluable and dedicated support to families affected by Helene.

Linda's role as Director of Operations at High Country United Way is instrumental in maintaining operational efficiency and keeps us all in check. 😇

ALICE is a movement that recognizes 42% of hardworking individuals who make too much income for government assistance, but not enough to live on.

One emergency expense can put an ALICE individual into financial crisis. When we recognize ALICE, we change lives.
