More progress is happening in Downtown Boone!

⚠️ Please be aware that temporary road closures may occur in this area while crews complete the work.

We know construction can bring some short-term inconveniences, but it’s great to see the continued progress and improvements taking shape in Downtown Boone! Stay safe, be patient, and continue supporting our local businesses throughout the project. 💙

The streets of Downtown Boone just got a whole lot busier as App State students have returned to campus! 🎉

To all the returning students, and especially those joining us for the first time, welcome (back) to Boone! We hope you have an incredible semester filled with new adventures, great memories, and plenty of time exploring everything our downtown community has to offer.

💧 **Water Restrictions Begin July 1**

The Town of Boone has announced that **Stage 2 Water Restrictions** will take effect on **July 1, 2026**, due to ongoing extreme drought conditions.

These restrictions apply to **Town of Boone water customers** and include limitations on:
💦 Watering lawns and landscaping
🏊 Filling pools and hot tubs
🚗 Washing vehicles
🧼 Washing driveways, sidewalks, and buildings
⛲ Operating ornamental fountains
…and other non-essential water use.

As our community continues to experience drought conditions, every drop counts. Let's all do our part to conserve water and help protect this valuable resource.
