Gardeners for Regional Organic Wellbeing (GROW!) is a grassroots, non-profit organization whose mission is to support and expand the local food system while encouraging sustainable agricultural methods in Boundary County. We strive to enhance the availability of local, healthy food to our community by providing the opportunity to grow organic food in a community garden and by distributing organic produce to local community groups.

Vermiculture Class this Saturday at 9am
We are thrilled to offer a class on vermiculture in the GROW! Garden this Saturday (June 13th) at 9am put on by Kendall Kahl, Assistant Professor, Extension Specialist- Sustainable and Organic Agriculture Department of Soil and Water Systems | College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Sandpoint Organic Agriculture CenterUniversity of Idaho Extension

Please dress accordingly for the weather and bring your water bottle.

Each year, GROW! donates thousands of pounds of fresh, healthy produce to Boundary County Food Banks and the Senior Hospitality Center to help support our Neighbors in Need. In addition to donating produce, we offer large, raised, rental beds to allow those without the space at their home to garden and grow their own fresh produce for a nominal fee.

What a fun, rewarding…..HOT day!

A different way to help feed our neighbors in need. Usually it is me posting about the GROW Community Garden - Bonners Ferry / Boundary County that we run but this time, me and a few of our board members helped out with 2nd Harvest Food Bank, Spokane food dispersement in Boundary County. We served 300 families!

Fun day! We will be back next month!

Wow! Look at these amazing sweet potato slips that just arrived! They are by far the best we have ever seen!

The Vardaman is a compact, bush-type sweet potato that is perfect for limited space. With golden skin and a rich, deep orange flesh that is firm, non-mushy texture that holds up well in frying or roasting. Their striking purple leaves will turn green as they plants reach maturity. 120 days.
