🚨 NOTICE OF WATER MAIN BREAK

ATTENTION RESIDENTS

A water main break has occurred, and water service will be temporarily shut off until repairs are completed.

Once water service is restored, the affected areas listed below will be under a BOIL WATER ADVISORY. Please take the necessary precautions and boil your water before using it for drinking, cooking, or other purposes requiring safe drinking water until the advisory is lifted.

AREAS AFFECTED:

- All areas south of Rue Camille on Rue Riviera
- All of Lac Lafitte
- All of Lac Calista
- Judy Circle

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while repairs are being made.

🌟 Meet the Candidates — November 11!

In keeping with tradition, we will hold our annual Meet the Candidates event in November in place of the regular open Board meeting.

This year, members will have two ways to get to know the candidates running for two open seats on the Terre Du Lac Association Board: Matt Crabtree, Dave Nichols, Melissa Patt, and Amber Wortham.

🎤 Hear from every candidate: We’ll begin with brief introductions, followed by questions submitted by members ahead of time. Each candidate will have a chance to answer the same questions and share their own views and priorities. This portion will last about 30–45 minutes.

💬 Talk one on one: Afterward, candidates will move to individual tables. Members will have up to 30 minutes to stop by, ask questions, and talk with them personally.

Have a question for the candidates? Submit it between Monday, October 26, and Monday, November 9, at 3 p.m. by emailing [email protected] or sending a private message to the Association’s page.

We’ll group similar questions and choose a range of topics about Terre Du Lac and Board responsibilities that fits the time available. Questions will not be selected or excluded based on a candidate’s position. Every question asked during the group portion will be offered to every candidate. You’re welcome to ask additional questions at the individual tables.

Please be advised that a water main break is affecting the following areas:

908 E Lafitte

A Boil Water Advisory is in effect until further notice. Please boil your water before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing your teeth, or other consumption purposes.

Please be patient while Confluence works to repair the water main and restore service.

Treasurer Update

Duane Patt resigned from his position as Treasurer earlier this month but continues to serve as a Board member. We thank him for his service as Treasurer.

The Board has not met since his resignation. A meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, with appointing a replacement Treasurer on the agenda. We will share an update following that meeting.

We understand that some members have questions about the cancellation of October’s open meeting.

The decision reflected several concerns, including consistently low attendance, hostility directed toward Board members, and incidents of vandalism involving Board members’ personal property. We want members to have opportunities to ask questions and hear updates in a respectful environment.

The Board is working toward a digital meeting format intended to make participation more accessible while providing a more structured setting for everyone. Our current target is February 2027.

October’s Board update was posted online to keep members informed about Association business and ongoing projects.

Please also mark your calendars for Meet the Candidates on November 11, an opportunity to hear from those running for the Board and get to know your candidates before the election.
