📢 Attention Terre Du Lac Residents

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has graciously allowed Terre Du Lac to borrow a radar speed trailer, which will be placed within the development in the coming days.

This trailer is being provided as a courtesy to help remind drivers to be mindful of their speed and promote safety throughout our community.

Please note that the Missouri State Highway Patrol will not be enforcing speed limits within Terre Du Lac, as the roads are private property and outside their enforcement authority. Their assistance in providing the trailer is simply a community service to help increase awareness of vehicle speeds.

We appreciate the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s partnership and support in helping make Terre Du Lac a safer place for residents, families, and visitors.

Thank you for doing your part by slowing down and driving safely.

🚨 Bear Activity Update for Terre Du Lac 🚨

A bear was sighted again this morning in Terre Du Lac and was observed rummaging through trash. While the sighting occurred in the Lac Carmel area of the community, residents should not assume the bear will remain there. Bears can travel significant distances and may move throughout the community as they search for food.

Now is the time for everyone to be vigilant:

🐻 Keep a close eye on pets and do not leave them unattended outside.
🐻 Do not leave pets tied up outdoors.
🐻 Secure all trash containers and avoid leaving garbage outside longer than necessary.
🐻 Bring pet food indoors and remove other potential food sources.
🐻 Keep children aware of their surroundings when playing outside.

If you encounter a bear, do not approach it, do not attempt to feed it, and do not try to get closer for photos. Give the bear plenty of space and allow it a safe path to leave the area.

At this time, there is no indication the bear is settling in Terre Du Lac. It is likely traveling through while looking for food. The best thing we can do is eliminate attractants and give it no reason to stay.

Please share this information with your neighbors and remain alert, especially during the early morning and evening hours. Let’s help keep our families, pets, and wildlife safe. 🐻🏡🌲

🐻 Bear Sighting Alert for Terre Du Lac Residents 🐻

We have received reports of bears being seen within Terre Du Lac. While bear sightings are uncommon, they can occur in our area, and we want everyone to be aware and take appropriate precautions.

Please keep a close eye on your pets and do not leave them unattended outdoors, especially at night or during early morning hours. Pets should not be left tied up outside, as they can attract a bear’s attention and may be unable to get away if a bear approaches.

If you encounter a bear:

• Do not approach it.
• Do not attempt to feed it or take close-up photos.
• Give the bear plenty of space and allow it to move through the area.
• Keep children and pets away.
• If the bear is near your home, make noise from a safe location and allow it an escape route.

Residents are also encouraged to secure trash, pet food, bird seed, and other items that may attract wildlife.

Please stay alert and help spread the word to your neighbors. If you see a bear in the community, use caution and report the sighting so others can be aware of its location.

Let’s work together to keep both our residents, pets and wildlife safe. 🐻🌲🏡

🚧 2026 Paving Project Update – Lake Lafitte Area 🚧

We are pleased to announce that the contract with Lead Belt Materials has been signed for the 2026 paving project in the Lake Lafitte area!

The tentative start date is August 1, 2026, with an estimated completion time of 7–8 days, weather and site conditions permitting. Per the contract, all work will be completed before October 2026.

Please note that if Lead Belt Materials has an opportunity to begin earlier than August 1st, they may do so. If that happens, they will provide us with advance notice, and we will share that information with the community as soon as possible.

To help keep the project moving efficiently, we ask all residents in the affected areas to please make sure vehicles, boats, trailers, and other equipment are not parked on the roadways during paving operations. Your cooperation will help minimize delays and ensure the best possible finished product.

The Association will conduct a minimum of two inspections during the project to monitor progress and ensure the work is being completed to expectations.

The following roads are included in this paving project:

• Lafitte Drive
• Calista/Pine Tree
• Rowena Court
• Rue Angeline
• Rue Charles
• Court 1
• Court 2
• Court 3
• Court 4
• Court 5
• Court 6

This project is part of the Board’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving Terre Du Lac’s infrastructure. We appreciate the support of our members as we continue investing in our road system and community.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during construction. Working together helps ensure the project is completed safely, efficiently, and with the quality our community expects.

🛣️ Better roads are on the way! 🛣️

🌟 Look 👀 another Lifestyle Advertiser Spotlight 🌟

This week we are also highlighting Providence Church, located just across from the main entrance to Terre Du Lac.

Many of our readers know Providence not only as a Lifestyle advertiser, but as a long-time supporter of our community. Over the years, they have contributed in many ways through community outreach, family programs, events, volunteer efforts, and by being a positive presence for Terre Du Lac residents.

Their support of the Lifestyle helps ensure that our community magazine continues to be produced at no cost to the Association or its members. Advertisers like Providence make it possible for us to share community news, events, local history, youth activities, veterans’ features, and more.

Providence’s June ad highlights several upcoming opportunities for children, youth, and families, including Vacation Bible School and other summer activities.

🌟 Lifestyle Advertiser Spotlight 🌟

Did you know that the Lifestyle magazine is produced at no cost to the Terre Du Lac Association or its members?

That’s right! The magazine is made possible entirely through the support of our amazing advertisers. Their advertising dollars cover the cost of printing, allowing us to continue sharing community news, events, history, kids’ activities, veterans’ features, local stories, and more.

This week we’d like to start with a spotlight on Melvin Mills Roofing LLC, one of the businesses helping make the Lifestyle possible!

Not only did they place an ad in our June issue, but they also created a fun summer word search challenge for readers. Take a look and see if you can find all 14 summer activities hidden in the puzzle! ☀️🏕️🏊‍♀️🎣

When you’re looking for services, we encourage you to support the businesses that support our community publication. Every advertiser helps keep Lifestyle available for everyone.
