💫 A New Chapter of Leadership for Rotary District 5340 💫

Rotary District 5340 proudly announces that the 2025–2026 District Nominating Committee has selected Mora de Murguia to serve as District Governor for the 2028–2029 Rotary year.

A Rotarian since August 2014, Mora has lived in San Diego for 11 years and in Chula Vista for 26 years. Her life embodies Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self through her compassion, leadership, and dedication to the community.

🌍 Rotary in Action Across Borders! 🌍

Today, we welcomed Steve McQuerry from the Rotary Club of Bajamar as our guest speaker. Steve shared about their inspiring service project to support Preschool Primary Emiliano Zapata in Ejido Santa Rosa—a small school with 20 students and 1 dedicated teacher.

The Bajamar Rotary Club is working to make much-needed upgrades, including:
✨ Lighting & solar power
✨ Roofing & plumbing repairs
✨ Cistern/well pump retrofits
✨ Kitchen improvements
✨ Fencing, windows, and doors
✨ Painting and general maintenance

This important project is a collaboration between Rotarians, professionals, and the local community—and they welcome support! 🙌

Also joining us today were Bajamar Rotary Club President Aaron Reich and club member Kenya Reich. We’re grateful for their commitment to service. 💙💛
