🐴 Congratulations Sunnyside Saddle Club
Successful First Horse Show of the Season!

🐎 Kicking off the 2026 season with a fantastic first show on May 17, Sunnyside Saddle Club is back in action at the Sunnyside Saddle Club Arena at Rohr Park! SVCA is thrilled to see local horse shows once again bringing together Bonita and the greater San Diego equestrian community.

⭐ The energy and excitement in the arena were truly inspiring. Riders of all ages showcased their hard work and passion. Volunteers made the day run smoothly, and their dedication didn’t go unnoticed. Stay tuned for more updates and upcoming show dates. Here’s to many more memorable events this year!

Huge thanks to Chula Vista Mayor John McCann, Chuck Sanfilippo (Candidate-Council District 1 and current Planning Commissioner), and all supporters for championing this club's return. Shoutout to Sunnyside Common Sense for the great write-up and to club members and other attendees who shared amazing photos. Congratulations again to the Sunnyside Saddle Club for its enduring legacy and continued dedication to the local equestrian community!

Sweetwater Authority is considering to implement safety-oriented improvements at the Loveland Reservoir Recreation Area along the existing trail network to enhance public safety, improve trail stability, and maintain long‑term recreational access. To accomplish these trail safety improvements in compliance with CEQA, Sweetwater Authority has drafted an Addendum to the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Loveland Reservoir Fishing Relocation Project. Please provide any comments you may have on the proposed project and Addendum via email to [email protected] by June 5, 2026.
