WELL...............Folks

Krystal Wilson was given 10 years' probation with Deferred & ordered to pay the $92,000.00 back & currently not responsible for the alleged $246,000.00 your local DA's Nathan Young & Vanessa Vice have stated she took from Fannin County. Judge Thomas ruled on her case(s) yesterday and passed down the verdict above.

However, you feel about this is up to you. The thing I want to emphasize here is.................... 1st There was No Politics in his Judgement, just facts and prior history of no criminal history. 2nd Half of Fannin County Employees did not attend to watch the verdict, like in some of the previous trials. 3rd the news media was there but not like in some of the previous trials. 4th the verdict, while a lot of folks may not agree with the decision, does not come off as Revengeful, and the funds that were stolen are going to be recovered, if not all of the $92,000.00 the majority of it will, and put back into the County Funds, in the Inmates funds, that were released, and reported as not being available for funding to them at the time they were released. In the end that is really the idea here, get what was taken. Even if not all of it is recovered, and the alleged $246,000.00 is never recovered..................something is always better than NOTHING at all.

We as a county have way too many people in offices, that care more about the Politics of it, than the fairness, or recovery of funds. Yes, people should be punished according to law, yes, they should be accountable for their actions, yes, the funds should be paid back to the best of that person's ability, yes people who do terrible things like murder, assault, r**e, child or adult sexual assault, etc... should be punished, but let's face it .................... someone on a first offense, no prior criminal history, non-violent, non- sexual assault, and a theft that was non aggravated.............. be given 20 or more years..............much less the 45 years the DA's office was asking for.............That is just crazy, when murders, ra**st, drug offenders get less? Some of these offenders even have prior criminal activity......... and get less time..... Hmm make you think or at least makes me think something is not adding up here.

Especially when we have former, Judicial, County, City, and others in positions that have done things, that they never were convicted for, due to help internally. Don't believe me, just ask some of the people that have witnessed this, heard this, etc........... but went along with it. Why did they.............could be fear of just losing their job, fear of being found out and implicated of their own misdeeds or promises of political gains for keeping their mouth shut.

People wiping computer history, or hacking and placing fraudulent information to incriminate someone.
People wearing ankle monitors, all while passing judgement on others.
People giving out contracts to their friends, only based on their friendship or what they will gain from it.

I know it happens everywhere..................
We have missing funds all over the place, we even have entire towns, that can't even figure out how they lost hundreds of thousands of dollars, so what do they do? Oh well let's just agree to write it off and start fresh.

Judge Blake admonished

Below is an admonishment of Judge Blake by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. The admonishment was well deserved by Judge Blake trashing a fellow lawyer without cause. Luckily for Fannin and Grayson County, Judge Blake is now retired.

Based upon the record before it and the factual findings recited above, the Texas State Commission on Judicial Conduct has determined that the Honorable Laurine Blake, the judge of the 336th District Court in Bonham, Fannin County, Texas, should be publicly admonished for: (1) allowing her relationship with Tillett and/or Shaw to influence her judicial conduct or judgment when she sent negative text messages regarding Shaw to inform and influence members in the community regarding Shaw; (2) lending the prestige of her judicial office to advance the private interest of Tillett to win the primary race election for 336th District Court Judge when she: (a) sent negative text messages about Shaw; (b) informed and invited Tillett to community meetings, where she was endorsed by members of the community; and ( c) invited Tillett to serve a meal with her for the Getting Ahead Program; (3) failing to be patient, dignified, and courteous towards Shaw when she sent negative text messages about Shaw to influence members of the community; (4) knowingly or recklessly misrepresented Shaw's identity, qualifications, present position, or other fact(s) when she sent screenshots attributing cases to Shaw which were no related to him; (5) authorizing her name to endorse Tillett for Judge of the 336th District Court when she: (a) invited her to attend community meetings with her; (b) allowed Tillett to be endorsed at the community meetings she invited her to; and (c) took a photo with Tillett that was published on the Getting Ahead Program's page. Judge Blake's failures in these respects constituted willful and persistent conduct that is clearly inconsistent with the proper performance of her duties and cast public discredit upon the judiciary or the administration of justice, in violation of Canons 2B, 3B(4), 5(1)(ii), and 5(2) of the Texas Code of Judicial Conduct and Article V, Section 1-a(6)A of the Texas Constitution.

So it appears that, we have JP clerks, speaking out of turn in the public. Hopefully it doesn't reflect on the county badly in the future to come.

We have a district judge & the DA stepping down, and "retiring at the end of this year. The courthouse budget was apparently not enough to complete the work, the spending to do so went way over in the millions, funds are missing, and others are being named as escape goats? It makes one wonder what is really going on?

The Fannin County District Judge seat is open after the current judge announced her retirement.
