Established on June 24, 2024, by members of the Bonham Fire Department, the Bonham Firefighter's Association is dedicated to serving the community through education, outreach, and fire safety awareness.

Their mission is to help educate the public about the vital work of the Bonham Fire Department, promote fire prevention and safety practices, and provide valuable information on what to do in emergency situations.

Congratulations Kayli on this well deserved award!!!!!

The City of Bonham Employee of the Quarter was awarded at Monday's regular meeting of the Bonham City Council. The City of Bonham is proud to recognize Firefighter / Paramedic Kayli McGlothlin as the Employee of the Quarter for the 3rd Quarter of 2026.

Kayli was nominated by Fire Chief Chris Hughes in recognition of her exceptional commitment to both the Bonham Fire Department and the citizens she serves. As a member of the department’s Protocol Review Board, Kayli dedicated countless hours beyond her normal duties to the development of the Fire Department’s new EMS protocols. She played an important role in ensuring the protocols were accurately formatted, thoroughly reviewed by her peers, and aligned with current best practices.

Throughout the process, Kayli worked closely with the department’s Medical Director to help develop modern, evidence-based treatment guidelines. Her attention to detail and willingness to devote additional time to this effort will have a lasting impact on the department and, most importantly, on the quality of care provided to our patients.

Kayli’s commitment to excellent patient care is also evident in her day-to-day service. The City has received praise from citizens who have specifically recognized Kayli for her compassion, professionalism, and excellent bedside manner while providing EMS care. During what can be frightening and stressful moments for patients and their families, Kayli represents the City of Bonham with kindness, competence, and genuine concern for those she serves.

Kayli exemplifies the dedication, professionalism, and spirit of public service we value in our employees. We are proud to recognize Firefighter/Paramedic Kayli McGlothlin as the City of Bonham Employee of the Quarter and thank her for the outstanding service she provides to our organization and our community.

Awesome job by Sherman Fire!!!

🚨 STRUCTURE FIRE 🚨

This afternoon your Professional Firefighters of Sherman were dispatched to a two story house fire with multiple victims trapped. First arriving units arrived to reports of two victims in an upstairs bedroom with heavy fire on first floor. Truck 81 was able to rescue both victims from the window and they were transported to the hospital where they are currently critical but stable. Engine 84 was able to rapidly knock down the fire, greatly assisting in rescue efforts.

The success of this operation was only possible because of the hard work and dedication of our members and the support we continually receive from our city staff and our great citizens.
