No, we didn't have a heat stroke BUT this team got POTA site US-4370 activated for TWO members! Team work makes the dream work!
**Today is the 9th anniversary of the first activation so it is
26 July 2026 (2026-07-26?) in the logs when we get it uploaded
KD5UNY, KE5GIB, K5MJD, KF5KUW, KK5SM and KI5PZF worked bugs out over the last three weeks and today to accomplish the goal.
KK5SM and KD5UNY each got contacts to activate the site.

Yes, it was the hottest day yet. Yes, we found a problem with UNY equipment and removed the errant piece. Lot of noise but KI5PZF focused on recording the call signs and time (UTC) and now has to make it legible (sorry, ya'll) and the learning process will continue!

Lots of activities going on the rest of the year.
We are discussed scheduling a "Radio in the Park" in August. Which is better? A weekday or a Saturday?

Our meeting is rescheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026 due to the vote to work with Red River Valley ARC and Tour de Paris Bike Rally on the regular meeting day of July 18.

I (SR) had a great time with RPM Staffing and the others at #7. I was told that the first rider hit before 0700! Last rider went on at about 1100 and they closed the stop. I spent some time at the Love Civic Center chatting with other folks.

Regular meeting June 20, 2026 at 0900 at the Bois D'Arc Creek Cowboy Church on S SH 121.

We had a fantastic time at Bonham Heritage Day yesterday. Great weather, some comms, great crowd, little bit of excitement but a really great day.
