A big THANK YOU to all who donated to Open Arms during the North Texas Giving Day event.

Gifts came in online and offline as well. Also, a big thank you to our donor for the matching gift of $4,000. Of our total, $3,623 was given towards the match.. It's amazing how local donors support a local effort.

THANK YOU, and God bless each of you.

💙 Building understanding. Inspiring compassion. Strengthening community.

Open Arms Shelter Manager Jackson Backus recently had the opportunity to give students at Sam Rayburn High School a tour and demonstration of how Open Arms works every day to provide a **hand up to our neighbors in need**.

We’re grateful for the chance to share our mission with the next generation and show how compassion, resources, and community support can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

Thank you to Sam Rayburn High School for visiting, learning, and supporting the work happening right here in our community! 🤝

Never Forget

Friday marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Commemorative events will be held across the country to remember those who lost their lives and honor the survivors, first responders, rescue and recovery workers, and others affected by the attacks.

While many observances will take place on September 11, some begin earlier this week. If you would like to take part in an observance or learn more about what is planned for the 25th anniversary, the following sites provide information about events in New York City, at the Pentagon, and at the Flight 93 National Memorial, along with information about other commemorative events.

Big news for North Texas Giving Day! 🎉

A generous donor has offered to match donations to Open Arms Homeless Shelter dollar for dollar, up to $4,000. That means your gift can make TWICE the impact in helping our neighbors experiencing homelessness. 💙

Help us unlock the full $4,000 match by giving and sharing with your friends and family!

We will be there!

North Texas Giving Day is September 17!

This day is all about our community coming together to support the organizations making a difference right here at home.

When you give to Fannin County Family Crisis Center, you help make sure survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault have somewhere to turn when they need help and continued support as they heal and rebuild.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps us continue providing confidential, compassionate services to survivors throughout Fannin County.

Give hope. Give support. Help survivors thrive.

We hope you’ll join us on September 17 at the Creative Arts Center and be part of a community that stands with survivors.

🏡 A safe place to stay.
🤝 Staff who care.
📋 A plan, support, and someone walking alongside her.

This week, a young woman connected through Open Arms Shelter was able to recover her resources and move into a place of her own.

That is what community support makes possible.

To every person, church, business, and neighbor who gives, prays, volunteers, shares, or supports this mission each month — **you are part of this story.**

Fannin County, YOU DID IT. 💙
