Mother’s Day can feel heavy. It can feel layered emotionally. For some, it holds quiet questions with no clear answers. For others, it carries the weight of expectations, both the ones we place on ourselves and the ones felt from the world around us.

It can echo what hasn’t happened yet.
What didn’t last.
What was deeply hoped for but not held. And instead of celebration, the focus can shift.
To what feels missing.
To empty arms, empty cribs, announcements that never came, memories that were never made.

That kind of weight is hard to put into words.
It can come in waves, unexpected, overwhelming, and deeply personal.
We want you to know this, you do not have to carry it unseen.
We hold space for these feelings and more.
We understand the depth of what isn’t.
We acknowledge the unspoken things you are navigating this week and today.

You are not alone.

Give yourself permission today;
To step away if you need to.
To not go.
Or to go and celebrate in a way that feels right for you.
To create something meaningful in the wait.
To sit in the quiet.
To take the walk.
To have that coffee with a friend.
To go on that date you have been wanting to plan.
Do what honors where you are.
What you need matters.

Our prayer for you today
“May God comfort you like only he can. May your hope be in him not in outcomes. May you be reminded, he is with you in every part of your journey.  May His love be present with you in the sadness, in the unexplained and in the desires of your heart. May you know Him in the way your heart needs today.”

We see you!
We love you!
We believe with you!

The loss didn’t break their marriage.Avoiding it did.
New Podcast Episode next Tuesday, May 12th, James Craft and Teri Craft share how unprocessed grief, including the kind that comes with pregnancy loss and deep disappointment, slowly created distance between them.
They looked fine on the outside. But inside, they were becoming strangers.
Until everything unraveled.
This conversation is honest, raw, and full of hope for any couple walking through loss, disconnection, or the quiet weight of “barren” places in their story.
Because this episode reminds us, no matter how broken things feel, you do not have to stay there.
The Crafts are Founders of Marriage Health, they now help couples find a path forward through conflict, crisis, and healing with a Christ-centered, trauma-informed path forward. You won’t want to miss this one. Subscribe to Barren Not Broken podcast on your favorite podcast platform!

In seasons of loss and waiting, joy can feel out of reach.
Connection can feel harder.
Laughter can feel distant.
But joy isn’t something you wait to feel.
It’s something you decide to pursue.
Side by side.
A small moment.
A shared smile.
A choice to stay close instead of pulling away.
This is how joy grows again.
Together.

New Episode, on Barren Not Broken podcast 🎧🎙️”Is choosing infertility a betrayal to my faith”
They were told, “You’ll never have children.”
What do you do with that?
After 11 years of infertility, stage four endometriosis, IVF, embryo loss, and a faith crisis, Nate and Kayla Sipple know the questions most couples are afraid to say out loud.
This week on Barren Not Broken, they sit down with Jason Rolf and BonnieRuth Rolf to talk about what no one prepared them for:
• Is IVF a betrayal of faith, or part of the journey?
• How do you grieve what’s missing without losing what you still have?
• What happens to your marriage when the weight doesn’t let up?
Their story didn’t end where they thought it would.
7 years before their first son. 4 more before their twins.
But this conversation isn’t about outcomes.
It’s about how to keep showing up, together, when the story is still unfolding.
If you’re in it right now, this one is for you.
