Community Garden--Students from the construction class at Van Buren County Community School District with the new community garden boxes they built for us. Students from the school will be here Friday May 1 to help us place the boxes, prep them for planting and begin the planting process. If you would like to see certain things planted in the boxes or in the garden or have plants to donate please message us or comment below. The Community Garden is located on the south lawn of the Bonaparte School building. A special thank you to Jon Gard, Bonaparte for picking up the boxes and delivering them to us!

The Twombly building in Keosauqua is honoring the medical providers of Van Buren County for the 250th birthday celebration with some really cool pictures and memorabilia. If anyone has historical pictures of the doctors and their practices from your childhood in the early days of Bonaparte would you please be willing to share them. We are so blessed to have Kathy Dye performing in the Music Bonanza. This woman's dynamic vocal range will give you goosebumps when she sings! She has sung in many productions at the Grand Theater in a Keokuk over the years. Kathy is also a regular performer at the Annual Montrose Watermelon Festival. Make sure to be here Saturday night to hear her sing. Show time is 7:00 pm.

This cute, young lady joined the cast 2 years ago. Wow, oh wow does she have a beautiful accomplished voice! Taylynne Hocker has been singing at several events over last couple of years. She often sings the National Anthem at ballgames. You will definitely enjoy hearing her performe.

This young lady will be performing again this year in the Bonaparte Music Bonanza on Saturday April 11th. Miss Maybelle Lou Munford has become quite popular in the Tri-State area performing at a variety of events over the last couple of years. She has her own distinct style and sound. She's young and has been writing and recording some of her own songs. We are blessed that she is part of our show.

Just think...when she gets famous...she got her start right here on our stage!

Singer, song writer Shannon Shephard has been singing in the Music Bonanza for several years now. We always look forward to his performances and hearing one of his new song that he has written. He has also been performing in venues and events throughout the Tri-State area this past year.

You have the opportunity to hear Shannon perform twice in a weeks time. He will be performing this Friday evening (Good Friday) after the Bonaparte Fire Dept Fish Fry at the Tool Shed Pub & Grub. Then come hear him perform in the Music Bonanza next Saturday night April 11th at the Bonaparte School Building.

Sisters Melanie Norton and Emily McIntyre have been working on a "Sisters" act to perform for this year's Bonaparte Music Bonanza. Their harmonizing is something that you really have to hear. This year's show will be the first event in Van Buren County, commemorating our country's 250th celebration. Musical selections and comedy will be showcased from some of America's most iconic time periods. You just have to see how we have put this together. Go back through time with us.
