Last October, when the government shutdown, I saw a news report of military members at a food pantry. That hit home hard. I talked to my sister, Tracy, about starting a food pantry at an open office at Maximum One Platinum Realtors. Without hesitation, she not only agreed, but purchased a brand new freezer to store frozen food and meats. Halloween was only a few days later- Max One Meals first food drive! I dressed as John Cena, just to make people smile. It worked! Along with many donations, we filled the pantry and gave out over 150 bags of groceries to 40 different families in Middle Georgia in the first two weeks!
Thanksgiving rolled around and we handed out 23 turkeys with complete Thanksgiving meals. I never posted about that until now, because we weren't looking for Facebook likes...But now things have changed! I was with Johnny Bill, discussing the Southern Wrestling League when the email came in-- Max One Meals is now officially a nonprofit corporation!!! A lot of door that were closed, are now open. Now we need your likes, we need your shares, because awareness is what fuels impact. Johnny and I celebrated, not as SWL or Foster Media, but as two people who genuinely believe that giving back matters.
We've been given a chance to do real good- and we are committed to honoring that every step of the way. Thanks to everyone who has helped us get this far!! But most importantly- we give thanks to God, for guiding us every step of the way, and allowing us to be a small part of something bigger than ourselves.
❤️🫶
