Today was bittersweet as we formally laid to rest our longest serving member and last survivor from the original club members who formed Wildlife Inc., back in 1951. As many of you know, Dennis “Mike” M. Schreiber, passed away on September 14th, 2025, at the age of 84. In addition to being an original club member, Mike was a loving husband, father and grandfather, served 27 years as a Milwaukee Police Officer and was able to obtain his pilot’s license. Today, in a beautiful ceremony while surrounded by many family and close friends, Mike’s ashes were spread around the front lawn and both traps, by his son, Mike Jr. Mike was the pillar of our club, and some would say he was the “glue” that held it together. The Schreiber family and Wildlife Inc. would like to extend our deepest appreciation for all the support we received on behalf of Mike.

Reminder - Mike Schreiber Memorial Shoot is tomorrow ! It looks like the weather has finally turned in our favor. Come out and enjoy some shooting, camaraderie and share some memories of Mike. Chicken dinners at noon. We will also have several fun shoots and raffles for prizes through out the day.

We have our Lewis shoot this Sunday with our famous chicken dinner. Get there early and shoot and order a half chicken dinner. Will be served about noon.

We had a question on what a Hunt and Cover shoot is. Here is a breakdown -

Teams: It involves teams of two shooters, a "hunter" and a "cover" person, who stand side by side at each shooting station.

Shooting Sequence: The "hunter" calls for the target and shoots. If the "hunter" hits the target, it earns a team point. If the "hunter" misses, the "cover" person can then shoot to try and break the target for a team point.

Role Rotation: After the "hunter" shoots five clays at a station, the roles switch: the "cover" person becomes the new "hunter" and the original "hunter" becomes the "cover" person.
