Turtles are on the move in Bolton! Keep an eye out to avoid hitting them, and be safe if you try to move one. Here are some great tips.
The turtle in the video is much calmer than you are likely to encounter, typically they will make a lightning fast snap motion when you pick them up. So keep your hands away from their face, and have a firm grip so that you don’t drop the turtle if it makes a sudden move. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1JP8DrBf73/

No one lost any toes in the freezing water of Bolton Lake. 🥶About 20 intrepid individuals ran, dunked, and even sat on ice at the Bolton Land Trust O'Polar Plunge this afternoon! We had another 30 people watch, take video, and gasp. Kudos to the hearty ones of all ages!

WOW! What an amazing presentation by Mary Beth Kaeser and her raptor rahabilitation center volunteers of Horizon Wings yesterday! We had so many people of all ages get to be up close to an Eastern Screech Owl, a Barred Owl, a Barn Owl, and a Great Horned Owl. They were beautiful and magnificent. We learned what they eat, how they see and hear, what they sounds like, and many more interesting things. https://horizonwings.org/index.html
