Rohrbach Services Corporation is a non-profit organization committed to providing complimentary access to mental health services and resources for individuals within our community. The Spot is a community center designed to help families and individuals in our local area promote mental health and access to services and support for individuals with limited resources, special needs, and other challenges. While we encourage inclusion, closed events will be designed specifically for those with special needs and other specific criteria for some groups and classes. Additional courses will be posted and added under events when scheduled. Why We Do Not Provide Services or Respond to Inquiries via Social Media
Rohrbach Services is committed to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical care. For this reason, we do not use social media platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) to conduct therapy, provide clinical advice, or respond to service inquiries. Here’s why:
Privacy and Confidentiality
Social media is not a secure or confidential form of communication. Interactions on these platforms may be visible to others or stored in ways that could compromise your privacy. We are ethically and legally obligated to protect your personal health information, and social media does not meet the necessary standards for confidentiality. Professional Boundaries
Maintaining clear professional boundaries is essential to ensure a safe and therapeutic relationship. Engaging via social media can blur these boundaries and create dual relationships that are not appropriate in a clinical setting. Clinical Risk and Liability
Social media is not an appropriate platform for crisis support or mental health services. Through these platforms, we cannot assess risk, provide emergency support, or ensure an appropriate clinical response. Miscommunication or delays in response may also lead to serious liability and ethical concerns.
