Cindy joined CMH in 2013 as a long-term care insurance specialist in the LTC Clinical Intake Department and later served as the CMH Foundation's billing coordinator beginning in 2016. Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation recognized recipients of the Medical Excellence and Club 1982 Scholarship Programs during a reception May 7 at Citizens Memorial Hospital.

This year, the Medical Excellence Program is awarding a total of $106,000, including $89,000 through the Medical Excellence College Program and $17,000 in high school scholarships. Since 1990, more than 775 students have received over $2.7 million in scholarships through the program.

The CMH Club 1982 Scholarship Program also recognized recipients during the reception. Funded by donations from CMH employees, the scholarships support employees and their children or grandchildren as they pursue higher education or trade programs.

We’re proud to support students as they pursue careers that will strengthen the future of health care in our communities.

🌱 Save the date for the CMH Baby Fair!

Join us Saturday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Third Floor East Tower Room at Citizens Memorial Hospital for an afternoon designed just for growing families.

The event, themed “Little Sprout Baby Fair: Growing Healthy Families Together,” is designed for expecting parents and families with young children. It will offer helpful information, hands-on learning and opportunities to connect with local resources.

Guests can meet physicians and nursing staff from The Birth Place, tour the unit and learn more about maternity and newborn care at CMH.

Inspired by the warmth and color of a farmer’s market, the fair will feature booths from local experts, health care professionals and community partners focused on pregnancy, infant care and early childhood. Attendees can explore baby care and maternity services, gain practical tips on nutrition and safety, and connect with community resources. The event will also include short learning sessions, refreshments, giveaways and activities for families and children.

Sip & Sparkle is a special Tween Night In designed just for girls ages 9–13 and the incredible women who walk alongside them: moms, grandmothers, aunts, and mentors. This uplifting event creates a safe space to learn, laugh, and grow together. Dinner and dessert will be provided.

This year’s theme, "Not Spilling the Tea," focuses on trust, friendship, healthy boundaries, and the power of wise words. Our guest speakers will discuss what it means to keep confidence, avoid gossip, stand up for what’s right, and know the difference between secrets that should be protected and situations where it’s important to speak up. As well as sharing age-appropriate insights about growing up—both physically and emotionally. Girls will participate in table games to help get to know each other better and customize a journal that they will get to take home.

• March 24th, 6:00 - 8:00 PM
• At The Bello Venue, 1556 State Hwy. 32, Bolivar
• This is a Free event.
• Limited-edition 2026 T-shirts available for $10

As the holiday season approaches, we are reminded of the loved ones who continue to shine brightly in our hearts. On Monday, November 10th at 5:00 PM, we invite you to gather with us at our Lights of Remembrance ceremony — a beautiful evening of remembering and community.

The purpose of Lights of Remembrance is to honor the life of a loved one, support the Hospice philosophy of living life fully, comfortably, and dying with dignity, along with involving the community in the support of Hospice care.

Each memorial and honorarium gift will be placed on a lantern on the Christmas tree to be displayed during the holiday season. Gifts received by November 5th will be displayed on the poster the night of the event as well.
