“Antonio has been a part of the BHS Music Department and the BHS Baseball Team. He enjoys radio broadcasting, classical music/jazz, and all kinds of sports. Antonio is eager to learn more about local government and policy during his Summer ’26 Internship.”
Note: The Village of Bolingbrook “Junior Board” Summer `26 Internship is a program that is welcoming eight high school students who are Bolingbrook residents to shadow local elected officials during this upcoming summer. Applicants were selected based on their interest in public policy, civic engagement, and community leadership. There will surely be more announcements coming from all of our elected leaders, so stay tuned!
Starting in June, selected unpaid interns will work directly with an elected Village of Bolingbrook official throughout the summer, gaining hands-on legislative experience in local government. Interns will have the opportunity to attend and observe village board meetings, community events, and official functions, while also assisting with tasks such as organizing materials, documenting meetings, preparing notes and summaries, and supporting special projects as assigned. This internship offers a unique chance to develop leadership skills, explore the workings of municipal governance, and engage in meaningful public service, making a real impact on the community.
