TURTLE FRIENDS!
I wanted to share a thank-you letter from our most recent recipient of the Lt Col Theodore TURTLE Wilson scholarship:

“I am the 2025-2026 recipient of the Falcon Foundation Scholarship awarded in honor of Lieutenant Colonel Theodore “Turtle” Wilson.

“My aspirations toward attending the Air Force Academy are fueled by my desire to be pushed as hard as I can. As you all know, Turtle said, ‘...if you have a goal, you should push yourself to the limit, reach out and get what you want.’

“As Turtle did, I want to be of service to those around me. Through this career, I hope to help people in their neediest hour. That is my dream, but right now I am far from it. I have a lot of work to put in and a lot more push-ups to do.

“From everything I have read, Turtle was an extraordinary man—not because of his accomplishments and commendations, but because of the profound, unrelenting compassion and love he had for others. I would have been honored to share Kaffee and Küchen with him.

“As a result of your organization’s support, the trajectory of my life is forever changed. I will be a completely different person for the rest of my life, because of you all and because of Turtle. Even now, the wind stirred by his pedals is making a difference and touching the lives of people like me. For that, I give you all, as well as Turtle, my humblest and most sincere thanks.”

in a few weeks we’re planning a double header weekend.
Part 1: October 24th, the 2nd annual “TURTLE Soup” theater event at Peak Improv Theater

Join us for an evening of laughter and song where the soup du jour is a savory mixture of Colorado Springs’ own Improv Colorado, the musical improv sensation “Tune Titans,” and special guest singer/songwriter Ashe Berton. Don’t miss this entertaining charitable event sprinkled with storytelling, audience participation and more!

Benefiting The TURTLE Effect Foundation in memory of Theodore TURTLE Wilson, and guaranteed to be TURT-ally outrageous!

All proceeds go to The Turtle Effect Foundation. This year’s event will be raising money for the Lt. Col Theodore “Turtle” Wilson Falcon Scholarship which provides underprivileged/minority students funding for prep school and admittance into the US Air Force Academy.

TURTLE Friends! It’s been a minute!
In keeping with our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion…🐢❤️🐢

We are proud to announce the 2025 LT Col Theodore TURTLE Wilson Falcon Scholarship has been awarded to an ethnic minority who was raised in a single parent household of limited means.

He’ll attend a flight academy before reporting to Marion Military Institute, and subsequently the United States Air Force Academy, Fall of 2026.

As for last year’s recipient, who attended Northwestern Preparatory School, he received his appointment and is expected to inprocess with the USAFA Class of 2029 next week!

That’s 4 total scholars since inception of The TURTLE Effect Foundation in 2021. The TEF board members and I appreciate your support.
