Dear Housing Advocate Friends,
The Marin County Community Development Agency is embarking on an effort to develop Multi-Family Design Guidelines. The guidelines are intended to improve the predictability and outcome of the County’s development review process. They will define positive design attributes and set clear expectations regarding the character of new multi-unit and mixed-use buildings in
unincorporated Marin County communities. Designers and builders will use the guidelines as new projects are conceived, and County officials and community advisory groups will rely on them when evaluating and responding to development proposals.
I will be promoting this event in the next BCLT e-newsletter - are you on the list? (Join the BCLT e-list by visiting www.bolinaslandtrust.org or send me an email at [email protected]).
Hoping Bolinas Housing Advocates will attend the meeting in Bolinas on Thursday, Aug. 23 at the Firehouse from 6:30-8:30 pm and fill out their survey? You can do the survey on-line then email back, and there will be survays at the meeting -visit www.marincounty.org/multifamily for the survey.
The County has asked me to help spread the word...as multi-family units are of critical importance to affordable housing, I hope you'll participate. It's important that the County receives feed back as this survey will have a future impact on design guidelines.
Thanks everyone!
