The Little Mermaid thanks You! On behalf of Bridget, Maya, and Myself, we would like to thank all who made this last weekend's production of The Little Mermaid possible. The Stinson-Bolinas Community Fund provided a much needed grant for scholarships for the children's theater camp. Huge Thanks! Stacey Henderson, Matt Lewis, Terry Donohue, and Kathleen O'Neill offered logistical and creative support, along with Howard Dillon, and Susan Tacherra. The Bolinas Community Center was incredibly helpful - special thanks to Tom & Kate for their positivity, communication, and general support. Sven, Amber, Amanda, Victoria, Emily, Julio, Nansea, thank you for your support. Mike & Alice, thank you for donating some hours to help us make the sets look even more beautiful! Don Smith, thank you with your technical support with lights and sound. Thank you Zack & Donkey for your help with sets and hauling. Community Theater takes support from the community - and we got it. We appreciate you greatly!
Our play took place off the coast of Bahía, in a reef called the Albrolhos. We tried to be authentic with the science, costumes, and music. Many of you have asked about some of the music from the show! The songs within the scenes were original, but the scene change music playlist is here, in case you want to immerse yourself in the beautiful Brazillian songs: Canto de Iemanja (Mia Doi Todd), Iemanjá Rainha do Mar / Beira-Mar (Maria Bethânia), Olhos Feiticeiros (Joyce), Que Maravilha (Vinicius de Moraes), Minha Namorada (Vinicius de Moraes), Voce Abusou (Vinicius de Moraes), Canto de Ossanha (Baden Powell), Brasil Pandeiro (Novos Baianos), Expresso 2222 (Gilberto Gil), Um Canto de Afoxé Para o Bloco Do llê (Caetano Veloso), Rhythm of Life (Rogerio Lotufo Maudonnet), Going Northeast (Rogerio Lotufo Maudonnet), Vai Não Vai (João Bandeira), Marinheiro Só / O Marujo Portuguêse (Maria Bethânia), Isabel (Novos Baianos)
Much Love & Thanks....Molly Maguire, director
