We are so happy to share that we will be gathering with some amazing folks for a Town Hall conversation inspired and hosted by a cosmo-vision of power, and our great friend, Bàyó Akómoláfé.

The in-person event will take place in Great Barrington, MA, and will also be shared by livestream. Hope you can join us on August 7th!

The pedagogy of ‘We Will Dance with Mountains: Vunja!’ is nurtured by a postactivist ethos – which is in turn a posthumanist reading of the world as fluid and open-ended, an appreciation of the critical gift of disability in how bodies take new shapes, and the yearning for a new politics that sidles the impasses of the status quo.

Today (July 20), nine elders from around the world – from the Caribbean, from Africa, from Asia, from North America, from South America, and Europe – gathered to pray for everyone who is joining the course. Tomorrow, we shall convene at the very first pre-event for the course, called “The Mountains and the Valley: A Celebration of The Emergence Network and We Will Dance with Mountains”.

Join us to get to know about the course and if it works for you; join us to celebrate the new lifeform of The Emergence Network and its partnership with “We Will Dance with Mountains” to build a decolonial project at the ‘end of time’; join us to celebrate the appointment of my dear sister, Aerin Dunford, as the new Lead Weaver of The Emergence Network. Join us in our cultivation of bewilderment as a planetary materiality of care.

[Details below]

THE EMERGENCE NETWORK INVITES YOU TO JOIN:

Big changes are afoot at TEN (The Emergence Network) and the moment has come to celebrate this moment of releasing the past and ushering in the next iteration of this network with blessings, prayers and ritual.

Meet us in the digital valley to greet one another again after a long hiatus, tell stories, build altars, and share our blessings for the reweaving of TEN during these strange end-times. We’ll share about Bayo Akomolafe’s upcoming postactivist festival-course, We Will Dance with Mountains: Vunja! (https://www.dancingwithmountains.com/), for any prospective mountain dancers (applications are being accepted now through 25 August.) We are also eager to share our plans for the future synergistic entanglements of TEN and We Will Dance with Mountains.

Three Black Men - A Journey into the Magical Otherwise

Orland Bishop is the founder and director of ShadeTree Multicultural Foundation in Los Angeles, where he has pioneered approaches to urban truces and mentoring at-risk youth that combine new ideas with traditional ways of knowledge. Orland’s work in healing and human development is framed by an extensive study of medicine, naturopathy, psychology and Indigenous cosmologies, primarily those of South and West Africa.

Join Orland, Resmaa Menakem and Bayo Akomolafe for this traveling workshop series that traces the diaspora in reverse.

Starting in LA on 6/24 with a gathering for those who identify as Black men, and continuing on 6/25 for a multicultural all-community event, this series will equip all with the tools to radically transform our realities and futures.

We are two weeks away from the first of our Three Black Men gatherings. This is such a wonderful opportunity. I would love for people to join us on Sunday, June 25th via livestream from anywhere in the world.

Together we will explore:
How do we meet the crises of our times?
How do we re-imagine radically different ways of being?

We will gather in a community to sense into emergent possibilities that speak to what we need now, triangulating toward a synthesis of new forms, new magic, and new directions.

Please share the livestream information: https://we.scienceandnonduality.com/three-black-men-sand

Anti-racism movements around the world operate in different cultures and contexts, yet there is fundamental common ground in the work of liberation and system change. Living in this body, this place, this moment, how do we cultivate healing and resilience, meet the immense challenges of our time, and grow the anti-racist movement locally and globally?

Join our panel of international racial justice leaders for a deep and multifaceted look at where we are now and how we can advance healing and cultural transformation.
