John R. Cogar Family Reunion Founded in July 1940 by John Cogar, Thelma Cogar and Clarence Cogar, the reunion has continued since The John R.

Cogar Reunion is held annually on the third Sunday in July. This is a gathering of friends and family members of the John R. Cogar Family and has been held since July 1940, excluding the years during World War II, when most of the men were serving in the United States military. All friends and family are welcome and this is a drug and alcohol-free event.

A few pictures from the reunion today. Attendance was down but we're still had a good time. Family visited with each other. Things were a little different today. We did door prizes instead of plaques as before. We are trying to save enough for the roof. Soooo much food. Hopefully we will get started earlier next year. Need some new ideas of what you would like.

Ok, it is only a short time away. Grounds cleaned, toilets cleaned, tables ready. Come have a good day visiting with friends and family. Don't say I'll be there next year, we have lost so many in the last couple of years. I am so glad I spent that time laughing and making memories. See you tomorrow

Today Roger mowed at the reunion site, Jr. started w**d eating but ran out of string. Lots of down limbs and branches down but it will be ready for the third Sunday. Mark your calendars, come visit and catch up with each other.

It certainly is raining here but we will get the field mowed off prior to the reunion. Still hoping for a good turnout.

Everything is still set for our reunion. Please plan on coming. Each year we are missing dear family members. Mark your calendars for the third Sunday in July. If unable to bring a dish to share there is always plenty.

The 80th reunion is finished and plans are being made for the 81st one. Our turnout was 61, down from past years but had a great day. Looking forward to seeing everyone next year
