Upper Snake River Tribes Foundation USRT does not have the authority to provide government-to-government consultation, but can assist in the facilitation of technical and policy meetings.

USRT staff work as an information gathering/dissemination and coordinating resource for the USRT member tribes in respect to fish, wildlife, land, water, cultural resources, and federal trust responsibility objectives. USRT works to ensure the protection, enhancement, and restoration of natural and cultural resources, activities, and rights of the Compacting Tribes that are reserved by Treaties and Executive Orders, protected by federal laws and agreements, or are the subject of aboriginal claims asserted by the Tribes. USRT Compacting Tribes:
Burns Paiute Tribe (https://burnspaiute-nsn.gov/)
Fort McDermitt Paiute-Shoshone Tribe
Shoshone-Bannock Tribes (http://www.sbtribes.com/)

This past Friday, American Indian Day, the Environmental Program Director hit the trail to follow Redfish Lake Creek up into the Sawtooth Mountains and reflect on the spectacular landscapes we have in this region and honor the legacy of stewardship and care from our Native relatives. A trip across Redfish Lake certainly inspires additional effort to bring those fish back home, so USRT is back in office and ready to tackle what we can!
