The TBHOF Board of Directors will have our monthly Zoom meeting tomorrow evening. The voters have until the end of August to cast their votes on the next class of inductees. Stay tuned for the big announcement after the honorees have been notified.

We are in the dog days of summer here in the American Midwest. This is the time of year when we not so patiently await the arrival of cooler weather and bowhunting seasons here as we shoot a few arrows each morning in the heat and high humidity. It's also a great time to think about someone who you feel might be qualified to nominate for the TBHOF. While the current nomination packets are in the hands of the voters now, it's never too early to think about someone to be considered in the future. The TBHOF Board had our monthly Zoom meeting yesterday evening. Our main topic of discussion was the Class of '26 nominees for induction into the TRADITIONAL BOWHUNTING Hall. The application packets will now be sent to our electors for their review and consideration. Once we receive their votes later in August, we will be announcing the upcoming class that will be honored at the Compton Traditional Bowhunters Big Game Classic next March. Keep your eyes peeled for the results. In the meantime, is there someone that you know of whom you feel is deserving of consideration and nomination for an upcoming group of honorees? It's up to you to nominate someone. The TBHOF board does not do that.

It’s a good week to spend some time in the a/c while working on a stack of TBHOF application profiles. We have nine nominations this year! We will be inducting 4 or 5 at the Compton Big Game Classic in Springfield, Missouri in March 2027. We will be sending the application packets for this class of 2026 out to the designated voters some time after the August 1 deadline. Stay tuned for more details. The TBHOF board had our monthly Zoom meeting this past Thursday evening. Many topics were discussed as is usually the case. Our first ever online auction of high quality traditional bowhunting items was a great success. Thank you to all that supported TBHOF through your participation!

In 1990, Joel Riotto took this book to the PBS Gathering and asked several bowyers to autograph the first page of their chapter. There are autographs from Jay Massey, Don Assenheimer, Rick Shepard, Jerry Brumm, Ken Beck and Dick Robertson, as well as the author, Dan Bertalan.

Special thanks to the Compton Traditional Bowhunters for inviting members of the TBHOF Board of Directors to speak at one of the seminars at this most recent Rendezvous in Noblesville, Indianna. Kevin Bahr, Russell Lantier, and Matt Schuster were on hand to represent the TBHOF and discuss nomination policy, procedures and guidelines for new prospective inductees.

It was a new location for the Compton event and the facilities at this new location were top notch! We understand that next year, vendors will have access to a new indoor facility rather than the large vendor tent that has been the norm. The weather this year was more than cooperative, but with a new indoor facility, having to worry about the weather will be a thing of the past. Thanks again Compton for your support of the TBHOF!

Also... be on the lookout for the TBHOF online auction that will begin this weekend. It only runs for a few days so don't blink.
