Today is Purple Heart Day.

The medal traces its roots to 1782, making it one of the oldest military decorations in the world. Every one ever pinned represents a wound carried, or a life given, in service to this country.

To the Purple Heart recipients in our communities, and to the families who carry that sacrifice with them: we see you, we honor you, and we will not forget.

Club Honored today at the Dedication of the Rose Garden Improvements in Julia Davis Park. Representing club was Dave Myklegard and JIm Szatkowski. With Diane Myklegard, Mayor McLean and Boise Parks, Recreation Director Sara Arkle, and Bailey Davis.

Pancake breakfasts, scholarships, flag programs, child abuse prevention work. It all happens because regular people showed up.

There's a club near you, and honestly, they'd love to meet you. Come see what it's about. No pressure, just good people doing good work.
