The Idaho Outdoor Business Council is a coalition of businesses and recreation groups dedicated to preserving and promoting Idaho’s spectacular wild lands and waters and to educating public officials as to the importance of conservation measures and public lands funding initiatives as drivers for Idaho’s outdoor recreation economy and quality of life.

2018 was about as bad as it gets for salmon and steelhead, and numbers only continue to decline. When many small businesses in Idaho depend on healthy runs of salmon and steelhead, we need to start speaking up for Idaho's fish.

Biologists predict Idaho’s salmon and steelhead runs will be very low again this year, but a new agreement may make migration easier. Warm waters in the Pacific Ocean have hurt all salmon runs since 2014.

A breath of fresh air coming from Congress...A bipartisan public lands package that reauthorizes the Land and Water Conservation fund among other positive outcomes for our lands, rivers and national parks.

Years in the works, the measure designates more than a million acres of wilderness for environmental protection and permanently reauthorizes a federal program to pay for conservation.
