Meanwhile, there is an update about the "weather balloon" crash site. Reportedly, the men in black all loaded into their SUV's and left the area. Whatever top secret event happened out there has been largely scrubbed from the landscape. All that remains is a few scattered bits of debris and a dusty moonscape. Whatever mysterious thing happened, it killed off most of the plant life near the site and left behind countless foot-wide discs of organic material. Very mysterious!

On another note, the men in black are now allowing limited access to the Crater Rings. However, do not try to access the actual "weather balloon" crash site. They will quickly swarm you! We hear that some black SUV's have appeared at the crash site and some men in black suites have cordoned off the area. But have no fear! The visitors have a strong commitment to Crater Crawl and will regain access to the Crater Rings for all of us.

Only six weeks left until Crater Crawl, just enough time to get properly trained up! Some say it's the most challenging 10k in the region. Up for the challenge? Those not looking for such a challenge will enjoy the lowkey short course to a stunning view of the east crater.

As for the visitors, there has been a lot of mysterious activity reported in the vicinity of the crash site. Some say it's just a weather balloon. We know the truth. The ET's have phoned home and will soon return for Crater Crawl. Spooky! See you there!
