Now is your chance to showcase your work in OPUS 2026, an open juried exhibition presented by the Treasure Valley Artists Alliance!

This year's juror is Carl Rowe, an acclaimed landscape artist whose work captures the beauty, history, and emotion of the land. As Carl shares:

“It is more than eye candy. This land is evocative. It reminds us of ourselves in its forms and contours. It reminds us that we, too, come from ancient ancestors, taking a long time to reach the point of this moment. Its vastness suggests the length of life, and its fragility reminds us of our vulnerabilities. As light plays over its surfaces, we see the drama in our own lives and feel the excitement of being here at all. This is why I love painting this land.”

Attend this upcoming free event by Meridian Arts Commission

Join us this Tuesday, July 7, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, for a very special guest lecture on "How America Claimed Modern Art", by BSU Art History Professor Craig Peariso. The lecture will be held at Initial Point Gallery, located on the third floor of Meridian City Hall.

Craig Peariso is Professor of the History of Art and Visual Culture at Boise State University. His latest book, Art Criticism and the Appeal to Democracy was recently published by Routledge Press.

Our current exhibit features artwork created by members of BOSCO (Boise Open Studio Collective Organization). BOSCO artists were asked to reflect on “The Pursuit of Happiness” and what it means to them. Displayed alongside the artwork is an exhibit of historical panels developed through a multi-state collaboration titled, “Moments That Made Us”. The exhibit is on view through July 31, 2026.

Initial Point Gallery Meridian | City Hall (3rd Floor), 33 E. Broadway Ave.
Gallery hours are weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The gallery and all events are open to the public and free to attend.

Friday’s damaging storm impacted our local artists community at Meridian Fine Art Festival Many artists suffered losses to tents and original artworks. Artists put so much work into their booths for these public events. Please support Treasure Valley Artists on Sunday June 28th by showing up and purchasing their artwork!
