The World Center for Birds of Prey in Boise, ID is the headquarters of The Peregrine Fund Interpretive Trail is open to the public from 10:00am-4:15pm.

Experience raptors from around the world and catch a glimpse of wild raptors on our Interpretive Trail. Continue your experience inside with daily raptor presentations, interactive exhibits, and maybe even an outdoor flight in the courtyard! Gyrfalcons are arctic specialists who are built to withstand the cold. This means that in the summer time here in Idaho, we work to keep Freyja feeling right at home! This includes a cool temperature controlled exhibit and frequent ice enrichment! Today she decided that she would take some of her paper enrichment and make her own snow! She is quite the innovative thinker! ❄️

Watch our avian ambassadors swoop and soar overhead in our open-air amphitheater, set in the sagebrush steppe at the World Center for Birds of Prey, while our Education team narrates. Each show runs about an hour and is a fun outing for family and friends—the more, the merrier.

Happy National Watermelon Day! While raptors are obligate carnivores, things like watermelon, pumpkin, and lettuce enrichment offer our ambassadors the chance to practice natural behaviors like grabbing, picking, and tearing! This is incredibly important to keep our birds mentally stimulated when they are not engaging with their trainers. 🍉
