The Boise Baroque Orchestra is searching for its next Artistic Director and Conductor to shape the future of one of the region's most beloved music ensembles.

The position is anticipated to begin with the 2028 Summer Festival, following a paid trial concert cycle during the 2027 festival. Full-time relocation to Boise is not required.

The Windsor Symphony Orchestra () will host a Celebration of Life concert for Maestro Robert Franz on Tuesday, October 14, with an online stream available for those joining from afar. More details are available at windsorsymphony.com (link in our bio)

Here in Boise, we are preparing a special tribute concert in Robert’s honor. We’ll share details on this at a later date, and we look forward to gathering as a community to celebrate his remarkable life and legacy.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Robert Franz, our beloved Artistic Director, after a courageous battle with cancer. 🎶❤️

Since 2019, Robert’s vision and energy shaped Boise Baroque into what it is today. He brought music outdoors to the Château des Fleurs and indoors to First Presbyterian. His passion for education created opportunities for hundreds of young musicians through the Idaho Orchestra Institute, the Conductor Workshop, and the Baroque Summer Institute. 🌟

Our hearts are with his husband Brandon and their daughters. Robert’s legacy will live on in every note we play.💐
