𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗺—Y𝗼𝘂 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺

It’s easy to wonder why making friends as an adult feels so hard. One day, your life is full of social plans and group chats blowing up, and then suddenly… radio silence. The invitations stop coming. The friend group drifts.

You might find yourself waiting for friendships to magically appear, just like they did back in school or college. But here’s the catch: adult friendships don’t just happen—you have to plant the seeds.

At first, I didn’t get this. I sat around, hoping someone would reach out. Spoiler: they didn’t. It took time (and a bit of swallowing my pride) to realize I had to make the first move. Say hi. Extend the invitation. Be the one who initiates.

And guess what? It worked. Some of my closest friends today started as strangers.

If you’re sitting there wondering where all your friends went, you’re not alone. I hear this all the time:

-The group chat has gone quiet.
-The invites have slowed down—or stopped entirely.
-You’ve outgrown old friendships and don’t know how to start fresh.

The key? Don’t wait for an invitation. Be the invitation. Connection is out there—you just have to plant the seeds.
