Recreational Roller Derby

Learn, skate and have fun. Roller Derby skaters of all levels are welcome with the Idaho Rebel Rollers. Whether you’re a retired speed skater, or have never laced up skates! Founded in 2018 with the first running of our Juniors Team, The Renegades, the desire to have an adults league started to brew inside. Finally, the start of a recreational team in the Treasure Valley started. Practice days are Tuesday 7:00p - 9:00p & Thursday 8:30p-10:30p.

We are the Renegades, Rebels & Rogues. All thanks to a Tracy Lawrence song from the western movie Maverick. The seed was planted, and now we are watching it grow!

Our Mission

The Idaho Rebel Rollers (IRR) is a public nonprofit educational and amateur sports organization that is dedicated to advancing the growth of roller derby through the standardization of rules and goals for existing and new leagues.

The mission of IRR is to nurture bold self-confidence in women by developing teamwork and athletic ability while treasuring individuality within a culture of integration, encouragement, and service to others.

IRR partners with competitive & recreational adult women & junior leagues, communities & schools, mentors & families; to empower women & youth through the international sport of roller derby.

What is the age limit? The Rebels are a 18+ women's recreational roller derby league. We do have our Renegades that are a co-ed junior team for ages 9-17 years old. Follow the link below to check them out!

What kind of skates do I need?? You would need to have Quad Skates. Inlines (rollerblades) are not used for Roller Derby.

Where and when do you practice? We practice at Treasure Valley Skate. We practice on Tuesdays, Thursdays nights and offer training on Saturday mornings.
