We had an incredible night at this year’s Shop with a Sheriff event!

While parents or guardians were shopping for gifts, Ada County Sheriff's Office deputies and professional staff volunteered to spend time with 100 kids—helping them pick out a few special items, decorating cookies, making crafts, and sharing pizza while they waited for their families to return. It was a fun evening full of smiles and connection.

This event wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our sponsors, donors and volunteers. We are deeply thankful to everyone who gives their time, resources, and support to help make this experience happen for local families. A special thank-you as well to Walmart Supercenter Meridian - N Ten Mile Rd for hosting us and being such a welcoming partner.

We want to give a huge and heartfelt thank-you to RADIX Construction and Crooked 8 Events for their incredible generosity. Their recent fundraiser brought in more than $6,400 for our Shop with a Sheriff event!

Support like this goes a long way in helping local kids have a brighter holiday season, and we’re truly grateful for partners who care so deeply about our community.

94 kids. $200 each. One mission: stock up on the clothes, shoes, backpacks, and supplies they need to start the school year strong. Add in Ada County Sheriff's Office deputies, dispatchers, Ada County Paramedics, and more as personal shoppers… and you’ve got one of our favorite days of the year.

On Saturday, we hosted our annual Shop with a Sheriff event -- each kiddo picked out the essentials to help them feel prepared, comfortable, and confident on day one.

A huge shoutout to our friends at Walmart Supercenter Meridian - N Ten Mile Rd. This was their 10th year hosting us, and they’re still all-in—helping find the perfect shoe size, tracking down that last Minecraft backpack, and even donating extra supplies when kids needed them. Seriously, they’re the MVPs.

We had volunteers from every corner of the Ada County Sheriff’s Office—patrol, detention, dispatch, courts, finance, civil, HR—you name it. Plus, our friends at Ada County Paramedics, Idaho State Police, and Idaho Department of Correction Probation and Parole jumped in too. This event couldn't have happened without them.

We couldn’t narrow down our photos… so here’s all of them!

To everyone who’s donated, volunteered, or cheered us on: you made this happen. And we love doing it. Thank you!

The ACSEA is hosting a fundraiser to assist Jade’s family with financial needs. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Jones family.

If you’d like to contribute, the preferred method is Venmo — you can send donations to and include "Jones family" in the comment. If you don’t use Venmo, donations can also be made by cash or check.

We will continue to work with the Jones' family liaison to identify needs.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us ([email protected]) if you have any questions.

We are heartbroken to share the loss of one of our own. Jade Jones, a beloved member of our Fleet Services Division for the past 11 years, passed away unexpectedly on Monday.

If you ever stopped by the Shops, you knew Jade. His warm smile, quick laugh, and readiness to lend a hand made him unforgettable. He didn’t just maintain our vehicles—he supported every person who got behind the wheel of one. Jade had a way of making you feel like what you needed was the most important thing in the world.

His kindness ran deep. Whether it was a routine repair or an unexpected issue, Jade showed up—no complaints, no hesitation. That was just who he was. Jade inspired everyone around him—especially his team—not only to give their best, but to grow into the best versions of themselves.

Jade leaves behind his wife and three daughters. Our hearts are with them as we grieve this tremendous loss together.

We will miss him more than words can say. Rest easy, Jade.

The Ada County Sheriff Employees' Association (ACSEA) proudly presents the 2nd Annual Tobin Bolter Memorial Golf Tournament, a special event dedicated to honoring the legacy of fallen Deputy Tobin Bolter while supporting those who serve our community. Join us on July 14 at The River Club for a day of camaraderie, competition, and giving back. All proceeds from this tournament directly benefit the ACSEA Benevolent Fund, which provides critical assistance to employees and their families facing unexpected hardships. Whether you're an avid golfer or simply want to show your support, this event is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a great day on the course.

The ACSEA Benevolent Fund is a vital resource that provides immediate financial assistance to employees facing unexpected hardships. In the past, the ACSEA Benevolent Fund has helped cover funeral expenses, provided meals during critical times, assisted with travel costs for family emergencies, and more. Our employees dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others, and when they face personal challenges, this fund helps show them that they're supported and cared for.
