Idaho Jazz Education Endowment Jazz Events and Information in Idaho

The Idaho Jazz Society is a charitable 501(c)3 corporation formed in 1990 concurrent with the planning of the first annual Sun Valley Jazz Jamboree. It was specifically intended to work in partnership with that festival by providing volunteers to help it run smoothly, and to continue its subsequent reputation as the premiere traditional jazz festival in the country. In recognition that our name (Idaho Jazz Society) implies much more than just traditional jazz, swing and ragtime, we have for the past few years sought to be pro-active in making ourselves available as a resource to all jazz activities and events state-wide.

Sabrina Thomas and Christine Nygard, two of IJEE’s scholarship recipients, were studying hard and making mental notes tonight at the amazing Jazzmia Horn concert. They should get extra credit! 😊 The lovely Jazzmia was kind enough to take time for a photo with them after the concert.
