Summer is here, and we're riding. ☀️🚵

Join us for the 3rd Thursday Group Ride this Thursday — one of our favorite traditions of the season, and last month's turnout was a reminder of why we keep showing up.

📅 Thursday, June 19
⏰ 6:00 PM
📍 Highlands Hollow BrewHouse

Come ready to roll — it's going to be a hot one, so bring plenty of water and sun protection. All paces welcome. No-drop. Good people. Cold beer at The Hollow after.

A big thank you to our sponsors making this ride possible: Highlands Hollow Brewhouse and Club Ride Apparel — whose gear you might already be eyeing in the Boise Mountain Bike Festival sweepstakes.

Speaking of which: entries close this Saturday, June 20. Every entry supports SWIMBA, Crank Queens, and Idaho Women's Bikepacking, and with 8 prize packs up for grabs, the odds are genuinely good. Events like Thursday's group ride exist because of this kind of community support.

A few spots are still available for this Wednesday's MTB Fundamentals clinic at Eagle Bike Park — and we didn't want any members to miss out. 🚵

📅 Wednesday, June 17 — 6:00–8:00 PM
📍 Eagle Bike Park | Free for SWIMBA members

Register here: https://swimba.org/events/mtb-fundamentals-skills-clinic-members-only-6/

Coach Levi Weert covers body position, balance, speed control, and movement on technical terrain using a structured drill format that's easy to keep practicing on your own. These are the kinds of skills that make every ride feel a little more dialed — and this is one of only a handful of clinics we offer throughout the season.

This is what a SWIMBA membership looks like in practice. Free clinics, community rides, and access to the events and resources that make riding in Southwest Idaho as good as it is. None of it happens without the support of members and donors who believe in building something worth riding for.

We've got more clinics coming later this summer — the best way to stay in the loop is to join our email list at swimba.org.

And if you haven't entered the For the Ride sweepstakes yet, you've got 5 days left. Every entry goes directly back to SWIMBA, Crank Queens, and Idaho Women's Bikepacking — the kind of support that keeps clinics like this free.

Members: log into your account and head to the Events section at swimba.org to register for Wednesday.

The Boise Mountain Bike Festival is June 25–27 — and the event needs volunteers to help make it happen! 🙌

We're looking for help at two venues:

📍 Friday, June 26 — Eagle Bike Park
📍 Saturday, June 27 — Bogus Basin

Shifts are available for setup, registration, and tear down. All volunteers will receive a lift ticket, festival access, and event-themed swag as a thank-you for helping out.

If you've got a couple hours to give, email info[at]swimba.org with which day(s) and shift type work for you and we'll get you the details.

The Boise Mountain Bike Festival is a community event and a fundraiser for SWIMBA, Crank Queens, and Idaho Women's Bikepacking — three local organizations working to build more trails and get more people on bikes across Southwest Idaho. As part of the event, we're running the Boise Mountain Bike Festival Sweepstakes, with prizes including a Canyon Spectral 8 and gear from some great brands. Every entry goes directly toward that mission.

Not entered yet? Find the link on our website at https://swimba.org/2026-mtb-festival-sweepstakes. And if you know someone who'd want in, share it with them.

Thanks in advance — this event is a community effort in every sense.

🚨 Advocacy Alert

The trails we ride are public lands — and right now, there's a proposal in Congress that could make it easier to sell or dispose of federal public lands through the budget process with just a simple majority vote.

The Public Lands Integrity Act would require any such proposal to clear a 60-vote threshold in the Senate — a critical safeguard that helps keep public lands in public hands.

For mountain bikers in Southwest Idaho, this matters. The trails we've built, maintain, and advocate for exist on public land.

Protecting that access starts with protecting the land itself.
Contact your Senators and ask them to vote YES on the Public Lands Integrity Act amendment.

It's here. 🎉

For the Ride: Boise Mountain Bike Festival Sweepstakes is officially live — and this year's prize lineup might be the best we've ever put together.

For the seventh year running, Canyon athlete and Boise's own Braydon Bringhurst — the Uphill Ninja himself — is donating the gear he rides to support the organizations building Southwest Idaho's mountain bike community.

This year's beneficiaries: SWIMBA, Crank Queens, and Idaho Women's Bikepacking.

Prizes include:
🚵 A Canyon Spectral 8 — Braydon's actual bike
🧥 Patagonia riding kit + Smith helmet + Fasthouse protection
⚙️ A full Deity component kit
👕 A full Club Ride apparel kit — two kits up for grabs
🛞 Maxxis tires + Time pedals — three sets up for grabs

Eight winners total. Every entry directly supports trail access, skills education, and a more inclusive riding community in Southwest Idaho.

Entry window closes Saturday, June 20. Winners announced at the Boise Mountain Bike Festival on June 26.
