Second day of the Great Western - Idaho (part 2). we took everyone to prison. Our state’s boxcar is currently located in the Old State Penitentiary  Museum. We had a great time and an opportunity to see some of our heritage.

Second Day of excursions for the Great Western - Idaho (part 1). Took everyone to the State capitol. Got to see the statue from our Boxcar (Winged Victory). We also were given a tour from one of the state senators in our district. What a stunning building… always impressed by it.

Thank you District 8 Idaho state Senator Christy Zito for the amazing tour.

Gonna be hard to let this one go!

10" threaded through tang bowie in 52100
Wearing stabilized spalted maple with black G-10 liners and stainless steel guard, sub-hilt, and pommel. This was a full mechanically secured build, no epoxy involved, which means each piece of the 15 piece handle is specifically designed to fit together like a puzzle.

In a few weeks, this beauty will be raffled off to the 40 & 8 Voiture Locale 336 Mountain Home, ID. Really honored to be able to make this happen!

Preparing centerpieces for the Great Western. But what could they be? 🤔

During the month of February, our local Voiture goes out into the local community to spread patriotism and instill respect for our flag. This month we had the opportunity to educate almost 300 First graders across 4 schools in our local district.

I believe our “Flags for First Graders” program is one of our most rewarding programs. please enjoy the highlights below from this month.

Here are a few of the things we teach the children:
-Respect for the flag and care of the flag.
-A brief history of who made it and the reason for the amount of stars and stripes on the flag.
-We also teach them how to fold it and give them an opportunity to practice.
-they also get to go home with a coloring book and a flag of their own.
