We have requests at to several stores to donate pies but haven't heard back. We want to deliver pies to 25 to 30 family caregivers in our valley. If you have the means to make a financial contribution to help us purchase pies it would be awesome. We need to raise about $300. Visit agingstrong.org/donate

A new Foster Grandparent classroom volunteer's first day of school at Chaparell Elementary. So many smiles to go around! We love seeing the volunteers light up with joy in their service. Some placements take time a little more time to get, because we care where volunteers spend their time. The connections made in classrooms last a lifetime!

Kilroy Coffee Klatch at the Warhawk Air Museum each month is something that reflects community and camaraderie in the most incredible ways as 300+ veterans meet for coffee and a speaker. It's truly a special time. Mark your calendars! 1st Tuesday 10am each month.

Aging Strong is getting around!!!! Received recognition from LEARN Idaho for the awesome support our respite companions provide to military families. Aging Strong wrapped up yet another Life Story book for one of our program participants Fred (a gift he and his family will cherish for years! Thank you volunteer Lisa for doing this for Fred!) Then off to McCall/Cascade area to grow our companion program in these beautiful rural communities. Staying busy changing lives!!!

One of the many beautiful things about our great state of Idaho is how they show support to our military community. The Veterans Stand Down event yesterday was a huge success - veterans walked away feeling loved by their community. Aging Strong is grateful to have the opportunity to serve military families. We're always looking for more volunteers. One more volunteer = one more family receiving hope and connection.

Nothing better for the heart than kind words and the power of connection. That’s what Aging Strong’s Respite Companion Program is all about - and we got to celebrate it together at the park! So grateful for our amazing volunteers, the military families we serve, and the resource partners who stand alongside us in serving these families. What a GREAT day of CELEBRATION!
